The Russet Queen stepped through the ankle deep surf, her neck bowed proudly and her silver tail snapped across her haunches. The crossing stretched out before her, it offered her the potential to fill her empty bed and this caused her heart to quicken. She was a new queen. Ambitious. And filled with the promises that such a title held. Power. Strength. Respect. A smirk tugged at her lips - be damned - any who ignored her title.
She strode from the ocean's bubbling surf, through the waving salt grasses and into the wide open meadows. Her glacial blue eyes sorted through the throngs of horses - some were alone while others had already been approached. When finally her gaze settled on one loner who contently napped while others were swept away.
Perfect.
The Russet Queen swiftly closed the distance between them; her ears laid against the muscles of her neck and her bone white crown snaked back and forth. She had no interest in sharing him with anyone else.
Just as she reached his side, her ears appeared from beneath her blonde tresses and a smile was firmly placed on her whiskered lips. She cleared her throat to waken him from his slumber. "It is a perfect day for a nap," she mused aloud "mind if I join you?" she asked gently as she stared down at him from beneath sweeping eyelashes.
Lure him in. And the moment he is caught off guard. Snap the trap.
