All the CFD medics work hard and often Should being tired be a defense? No not at all. If you are that tired then lay up for a week. Don't say it doesn't happen. This job is not what it used to be in many aspects. There are ####ty medics on all departments and it should be up to the chiefs and administration to filter them out. If FFPM were not allowed to drop their medic and get paid as an EMT some of this nonsense would have been prevented. Body cameras are here to stay and we should always assume we are on video at some point during the call. Treating patients like DOGCRAP is just unacceptable and has no defense. If you do not like the runs at 2,3, 4 am and all day then let me tell you now...QUIT and go work somewhere else.
