Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I'm filled with flaws and attitude

If you need perfect, I'm not built for you

True panic sets in when the seconds of silence hits. Her throat tightens as she gasps for air just as the voice of her father answers her cries. As if his voice was medicine, she is able to breath again as her eyes search the area for him. Devi calls out to him again to help Orphiel find her. Her shoulders rise and fall quickly and labored breaths. Tears streak her pale cheeks, blurring her vision. But the girl had faith he would find her.

His body becomes more vivid the closer he gets until his voice is just steps away. "Oh, dad..." Her shaky voice trails off in an explosion of tears. The stallion embraces his daughter to which she melts into his safe embrace. Devi fights to collect her voice, but she loses many times. Sobs surround him until a few minutes pass of her trying to speak. The girl steps back to look into the eyes of her darling dad. She takes in a deep, rattling, breath before the words finally come. "You have to come." Her watery eyes plead. "Mom said she'll be fine, but I'm scared."

Devi takes another deep breath as she draws closer to his chest. Her eyes look downward as she continues. "A stallion came and tried to take the Inlet from mom. She won, but now she is really hurt." Her legs begin to shake. "Please help her." For some reason she believes Oprhiel would be the one to save her mother. He could clean her wounds, make her better. Most importantly, he could make her smile again. Devi didn't believe Loupgaru had the compassion to help her heal. Arneis did, but he has been distant lately. There was no time to think on the matter much. Orpheil was the perfect horse to save her mother. He was the one she longed for most.

(I have a post started in the Inlet if you want to continue there.)
