I just saw that Jim Justice, the governor of WVA and owner of The Greenbrier, has just signed a law to allow guns to be carried on WVA. campuses. I understand that 11 wother states have also passed this law.
I don’t follow gun legislation but this amazes me. It is ok for an 18 college freshman, away from home first time, to have weapon and access to it and think they will adjust well to college life.
I just don’t see this as a positive step forward for college life. It is a reaction to Michigan State killings however allowing the 55,000 student on their campus to carry 55,000 guns everyday is just asking for trouble. What about the old college frat rivalries? What about college rivalries?
