Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

There was a part of Tyr that still expected rejection; to be pushed away with scorn because of what he revealed himself to truly be. Oswin, still too fiercely stubborn for that, continued to show her loyalty. Her love. What had he done for her, what had he shown her, to deserve such? He could let it smother him. Push him back under, into the darkness, where he could hide forever as he had done much of his life. But what would that reward her? No, her belief was enough to give Tyr a different type of strength he didn’t realize he needed. The stallion refused to let Oswin down, and in the process, his anger had melted away. The new lagoon boss seemingly didn’t matter anymore. Or the outcome of a brotherhood that had oust him for the tyrant. Instead, he found what truly mattered, was the mother of his children and the only believer in the real him that he’d honestly had.

“Okay” the large stallion murmured softly. Nothing close to the growl of anger that had filled his tone when he had first greeted her. Closing his eyes, Tyr knew this was a step he’d never made before, having always given his loyalty to the Lagoon since coming to the Islands. Now, he was giving it to someone else entirely. When he opened his eyes again, Tyr closed the tiny bit of space still left between them to brush his muzzle against her own. To drink in her sweet scent and know that soon, it would only be his mingled with her own, instead of the sharp contrast of the Peak. He didn’t know if that gave him pride, or if that scared him, to have such a responsibility to someone other than himself.

“Go back to the Peak and tell our children. They deserve to know.” Tyr said, his thoughts drifting to Vadim then. Surely the young stallion had not ventured too far since he was the reason Oswin was even here. “I will meet you on Atlantis.” Ever since his short stay there, Tyr had always wondered what it would be like to live there. Always dreamed of what life might be like beneath the warm sun and a family surrounding him instead of other stallions. Maybe it was time to chase that dream instead, but only with Oswin next to him. She was the entire reason he was even willing to leave the only home he’d known the last several years of his life.
