Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

did you ever think that if you got everything
all the records they don't play the same

As the large stallion pushed her away from the Commons, Miriella wondered which stretch of beach they would be swimming from. She hoped it wasn’t going to be Luthien, because then she would have to actually fight to escape him rather than just to be rebellious. But the further they moved down Crossing Isle, the more apparent it became that he wasn’t pushing her toward any shoreline.

The Lagoon? It made sense he was such a brute, as her father had often warned her against the boisterous bachelors who called the waterlogged territory their home. He’d told her there were always exceptions, given that he’d had a close relationship or two with a Lagoon bachelor, but his voice would go stern with worry if she pressed about it being a place she would end up.

Again, as much as Miriella was bound to turn her pale nose up and complain about the Lagoon, a part of her was thrilled.

They pulled up deep into the territory where the smell of man was strong. Miriella snorted harshly as though to push it from her nostrils and pawed at the soft, rich earth beneath her hoof before stomping it down and looking over at him. Though her ears weren’t turned back she kept her head high and her gaze unfriendly as they fixed across him. Privately she appraised him now that she could look him over, admiring the strength in his figure and the pattern of spotted white over his hind. She felt stirred up, pale tail snapping behind her to expel some of the energy.

“You’re quite a gorgeous thing. I couldn’t help but admire the view all the way home. What should I call you?”

Miriella grinned, confidence thoroughly stroked. “Miriella,” she responded, happy he would know her name and that he’d even asked for it. “And who are you, besides a wretched brute who forces mares to live with him?” Well, she couldn’t let on that she liked him yet, now could she?
