Well this was not something she expected to happen. Not only did her mother lose a fight to another mare, but the fight was over her. Now she was being shooed away to the Desert. Saying goodbye to her mother this way was very rough. Parvati was upset and disappointed with herself. She was afraid of what this mare might want of her daughter.

It felt like she was swimming to the other side of the planet. Once she reached the Desert’s shore, she was amazed at how vastly different this island was. Where Tinuvel was blanketed with snow this island was filled with some kind of weird grainy substance. Devi steps gingerly onto the sand as if it would break under her weight. “Woah!” Once she realized she could walk on top of the sand without falling through she was racing around. It was just like the snow except it wasn’t wet, or cold, but it could be slippery like snow was. Devi raced around in a tight circle until she got too dizzy.

This place was fun! At least it seems that way, but she still had to meet the mare that brought her here. The young mare pulls herself together and does something her mother was not always good it. She grows serious, turns her back to the sea, and calls out for the residents of the Desert. She was intrigued to meet the mare who could best her mother. Parvati may be crazy, often immature, but she was a great fighter. There was no way Devi could defeat whoever it was who could best her dam in battle.
