Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Time had come, and time had gone. Ashteroth felt like it was leaving her behind, while she remained here, lingering in the Cove. The heated passion she had felt with the beastly stallion still clung to her mind, but no matter the sparks that seemed to fly, he never made any notion to take her as his own. The very thought made the painted girl pin her ears in anger, knowing that she would not go to him of her own accord again. He would either take what he had claimed as his or he wouldn’t.

It was the middle of the day when Ashteroth found herself on Tinuvel’s shore, looking out across the water towards the Crossing. A new sort of curiosity burned inside her, wanting to see what was on the foreign land. The painted mare felt as if she had explored every nook and crevice there was to find here on her father’s island. Plus, Ashteroth felt like she was ready to face a world that daddy hadn’t made safe for her.

With an impatient sigh, Ashteroth turned back for only one purpose. She at least needed to tell her brother where she was going. She doubted Asmodeus would want to go with her, especially where she had plans of going. Not when he had a title here; a purpose. Ashteroth was going to need to make her own title, her own purpose, if she was ever going to wear her own crown.

Only after whispering her secret to her twin, Ashteroth retraced her steps back to the shore. As night fell, the young mare ventured out into the sea bravely for the first time. The waters were calm, so the swim wasn’t hard. But her strong, thick legs still shook slightly when she clamored up onto the Crossing’s shore. Her exhaustion was quickly forgotten as she gawked at her new surroundings.

The trees, the grass, the smells, the warmth; it was ALL different than anything she had seen on Tinuvel. It made Ashteroth giddy like a foal, a giggle bubbling up from her throat and out of her lips. Not taking the time to shake away the water still dripping from her flesh, Ashteroth ventured her way further into the unknown territory.
