Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

TURNING MEN INTO monsters

Ooc; This thread is backdated, and set before Parvati challenged for Miriella, and well before Vadim was raided.

She was gone. A daughter who’s name he didn’t know, taken away from the Lagoon where he would probably never see her again. Miriella had seemed just as determined about the decision, since it was her idea from the start. But when she left, Vadim could not help but trail after them up until the sea washed away their scent at the beach. They had not been approached or detoured since they had left the Lagoon, making their way to whatever island Miriella thought best for their child. Vadim had stood there long after, before he had turned and went back home.

In the two days of Miriella’s absence, the large stallion spent most of it worrying, if not distracting himself with other things. But when her scent returned, he did not go to her or try to comfort the palomino mare. Instead, he had found his own comfort in knowing he didn’t have to track her down, and that she was loyal enough to keep her word. So again, Vadim resumed the role of ignoring her existence now that it was where it belonged.

Vadim was on his way to the Commons when a call rang across the Lagoon. Not a challenging one for a battle, but a demanding mare sound that instantly made him cringe. Devi had clearly not been pleased with the change of scenery, despite how hard Vadim had fought to get her here. The painted beast that had given him a limp for seasons, and then the over protective mother that had somehow lost. Couldn’t she just be happy he was leaving her along with the child at her side, instead of constantly driving them around or picking at them like another evil lagoon stallion might? The very thought caused him to roll his green eyes as he changed directions and made his way towards Devi instead.

When he finally spotted them, a weird awkwardness clenched hard in his belly. Vadim had never spent a single moment around his own children, and it was almost easy for him to forget they even existed. “You called?” he asked, his tone nearly flat as he tried to hide away his own unease.
