Even this young she is already bleaching in the sharp sun of spring, running about like a madwoman, wild and more like her uncle Aldebaran than her father Atair. Named for the three spots on her rump and how immediately she gravitated to her father, she was named for the star that was styled as “the peregrine falcon” - β Aquilae, known for being a triple star and one of the neighboring stars of Atair. She loved to learn the names of the Sadim, to find their respective stars and keep them in memory… at least when she is not drinking the wind.

Aldebaran had taught her a thing or two in the early days, seeing in her the blessing of Shu already, but he made her promise that she would not follow the teaching of that god until her parents became aware of her leanings themselves. He said that sometimes the world could not understand winddrinkers and it would be unkind of her to spring it upon them before she had the right time to decide for herself if that was the life she’d choose - or if the vibrance of new life was feeding her energies naturally.

She agreed, her own compulsion to race about the dunes certainly not entirely to the same mindless and careless abandon of all thought as sometimes Aldebaran showed. Blessings did not always come so strong as it had come to her uncle. She had a bit of her uncle Rigel’s intelligence, a bit of her uncle Aldebaran’s speed, a bit of her father’s sturdy bones, a bit of her uncle Antares’ even keel. It was fair to say there was no telling if the wind would become her life or her passtime.

Today, her fuzzy self had pointed towards the main oasis and begun to trace the borders of where her had told her marked the end of the Sadim’s personal territory. It fascinated her that her uncle had chosen to give up any parcel of it at all - but it also (like waiting before dedicating to a single patron god) made quite a good deal of sense. They would never use so much land, no matter how big their sadim grew.

Trotting along, she looks out along the extensive banks of the oasis where one could see past the tropical shrubs and tree coverage, the grasses seeming even more promising of delicious flavor than usual - for all that she would not know it personally.
