Asphara

Mare - Thoroughbred - Chestnut - 15.3hh - Frozen Mist

Something was in the air. It called to a slumbering red mare. Nature's clock was ticking and a little ding could almost be heard as a sharp pain hit the slumbering mare's abdomen. Her body jerked awake to the feeling of the pain, but there was no knowledge on what to do with what came with it all. Muscles contracted and her body tried to lurch into a standing position, but the mare could barely stand on her own legs in that moment as the pain rocked through her unknowing body. Asphara had never experienced this before and it almost terrified the young mare more than her journey through the fire forest of home.

Rising from her position on the ground, the red mare looked about her. Everyone for the most part was resting and she did not need to worry about those coming to her. So, with silence on her hooves, Asphara managed to move through the land as silently as possible with her tail lashing and pain cramping her frame. She was here in a herd, one where if she needed help she could most likely get it. The problem was, Asphara was a longer and did not wish to burden anyone with her unknowing mind. She was running on instinct, but instinct only went so far.

Finding a hidden place in the land, Asphara laid down one last time. Her body heaved and her mind raced, but at the end of it all, the mare looked behind her to stare at a light colored thing. Her mind raced once more as she stood up, legs shaking as she shivered at the sight of the light colored foal. She held no idea what the gender was and she was terrified to even touch it. Snorting out a breath at her child, Asphara stared at the creature with her legs spread apart and her ears faintly perked. It was breathing, that much she saw, but the terror in her blood had her unsure what to do.

On the ground before Asphara was a light colored filly born to a three year old maiden mare. The foal currently had no name and a mother who was terrified. For now, the wobbly legged creature tried to stand while Asphara stared at it like it was an abomination.
