It’s all because they shifted away from Alternative and went full fledged hard rock. When it was alternative, it did better. X105.1 Had more potential than 105.1 The X. That’s why they should have just moved it to 107.3 and shifted it to a gold based Alternative. Playing 80’s 90’s 2000’s, with a few currents mixed in. No hair bands. Just a New Wave to Modern Rock approach like the old 105.9 The Lazer or like current stations like KLO Salt Lake City, 91X San Diego, or even Cumulus’ sister station 99X Atlanta, with a new presentation to go with the station. I definitely get your point though that it’s all about the nature of the industry. You can’t keep a station on if it’s not getting the ratings, but a guy can only dream and hope. Right? Replies:
