As Scripps continues to blow up their newscasts, “She (Chengery) didn’t want to stay on as an MMJ and gave them her notice. She’s an excellent reporter; it’s a horrible loss,” said one Scripps insider to FTVLive.
The same source tells FTVLive that WFTX has stopped doing a live newscast at 11 PM; next week, the 10 PM newscast will no longer be live.
Scripps calls the anchor free, pre-recorded newscasts part of their "news initiative," but one Scripps staffer says, "Let's call it what it is, news on the cheap."
Scripps continues to roll out the "news initiative" across their stations.
At some point, a major event is going to take place just before the newscast, and the Scripps' station will be offering viewers a pre-recorded newscast.
