Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Ghosts whisper in my ears.

It was fall, one of the worst times of year. It sent stallions into hormonal ruts and mares into predicaments that not all of them wanted to be in. Leaves fell from trees and grass began to brighten since the summer no longer held the earth in its warm clutches. Animals of all different species were working on the next generation and yet, Nahawi could not see himself creating young with others well this season. He was too worried about trying to gain the lagoon boss position and greeting others he had yet to meet. He had not seen any of the trinkets and so far there was a small handful of stallions he had seen in this lagoon. From what he thought, this place was supposed to be lively. Yet, he spent so much time here alone and now with the elections, everyone was coming out of the woodwork and it sent him on edge.

Heaving a breath, the stallion was headed towards the edge of the lagoon when voices colored his ears. Normally he would not go and snoop, but one of the voices did not sound like the one speaking was having a good time. Shifting his hooves from the direction he was headed, Nahawi pushed through the lagoon's foliage and soon enough set his eyes on a younger stallion and a mare. Nahawi was not too old himself, turning five come spring, but that faintly aided in how he carried himself and spoke to others. With his ember colored eyes upon the duo, the stallion held a wince knowing that the mare was not content with the other horse here.

“Greetings.” Came his deep timbre, his body stepping from the shadows and into the light so he did not look like a peeping tom. “My name is Nahawi and its nice to meet you both.” There was no hostility to this stallion as he looked at the two others here. He just was thankful to see other creatures and even if one was not having the best of time, he could do his best to ease into this and not frustrate her more. “Have you been alright by yourself madam? I have not seen you before and I hope you are well.” Might as well ask if she is okay, considering he figured she was a trinket that either belonged to Vadim or Psych, neither of them here on the lagoon anymore.
