Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Kheldar
for everything that rises must converge
A dark figure emerged from the tangled growth of the Lagoon, pausing further up the beach before approaching the dun stallion standing alone on the sand. "Nahawi?" Kheldar ventured, the lilt in his tone lending itself to a roundabout way of polite introduction, rather than any type of true query - for the black stallion and his companion knew of all the current brothers in this band of stallions - by sight and name, but little else beyond that, yet.

"It is good to meet you officially," the andalusian stallion continued. "My kinsman and I are only recent arrivals, and I’ve not yet had the chance to introduce myself. I am Kheldar." And Rosto, his other half, no doubt wasn’t far off, but the ink-skinned male wouldn’t seek to draw his battle-brother out before he was ready, nor had Kheldar ever thought to speak on Rosto’s behalf (not even to his own father, instead fighting fiercely for his Thief Prince’s voice to be heard within the rocky chambers from where a once-great kingdom had been ruled).

There was the matter of the sounds of fighting he’d heard ringing in the air, and the trace scent of blood, but given that by the time he’d made his way to the shore, he’d found the red male still and solitary, it was evident that whoever the spat had been with had moved on. Not wanting to pry, but also rallying against the idea of ignoring it completely - the clear evidence that Nawahi had partaken in a scuffle - the newcomer simply asked: "Are you well?"

Left it at that, giving the red male beside him an opening to choose to answer however he felt most comfortable (or perhaps not even at all), expressing a light interest without prying too deep, too quickly. "If you wouldn’t be adverse to company in these nighthours, I could stay awhile. But if you’d rather be alone," Kheldar shifted his weight, relaxed and carefree. "I will graciously take my leave, seeing as I have acquainted myself."
