Nahawi was tired of this back and forth, but he knew it needed to be done. This stallion before him was older and had more knowledge under his belt, but Nahawi knew that if he stood here and continued to talk for much longer he would look like a normal supervisor that wished to not actually do the job at hand. Nahawi had a lot of things to do and to think over, but he knew deep down in his heart the first thing on his agenda was getting word to Tyr. It would be difficult, but he would manage to do so. His mind flicked through the many horses he could remember in that moment and one captured his mind like a flaring lightbulb.


“It is not safe at this current time for me to speak to Tyr on my own. With the changes I have already created and the changes I wish to make, my leaving could cause a mutiny.” Nahawi did not have enough leverage just yet with the horses here to leave yet again. Considering that he now knew that Tyr lived in the ridge, he had once been there before when he had followed Isengrim and almost got swallowed alive by the waves. He could remember seeing the three other Lagoon stallions staring down at him as he tried to help Isengrim to better land and that sent a cold chill down his spine.


Once again Nahawi was listening to Rehoboam when he hit the last of his words. The red dun’s body shifted faintly before he lifted his head up and stood like a true leader. His ears perked forward before he let out a deep breath and eyed Rehoboam. “I will not leave this place until my dying breath or I am to old to lead further. I will fight tooth and nail to retain Boss during every election held here during the summers. The Lagoon inhabitants might have a dark underlying taste to their home, but I will do everything in my power with the knowledge I gain from here on out to change the deck we all are dealing with.” Nahawi’s voice fell away then, his tail lashing at his hocks before he looked behind them. “I will get word to Tyr about needing his aid. I am not sure how well that will go as I am new and the Lagoon is a sour place to most if not all lead horses lips.” Tyr might have been here before, but that did not change the present. If Tyr was smart, he would eye this like a snake about to strike and very tentatively decide what the best options would be.
