That is not relevant since operating a 'network' is not the objective.

What we are imagining is well-written, low maintenance software that accepts internet wagers for the specific fronton only.

We live in a time when new software apps make huge cultural impacts. Eg: Napster was big in file sharing, then Amazon exploding with online sales, then Youtube, and many more examples. Are you arguing that such a program could not be written?

As for "handling" it, we know that the frontons could take inputs from hundreds of tellers, and self-bettting machines, and off-track wagers, telewager girls, and Link2Bet / W&W, and combine them, no problem.

So we already know that part is possible.

Which raises the question: Which aspect is impossible or impractical; creating an app, or operating it? Or both?
