Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO TRUTH.

The soft summer wind wove through the Lagoon, making the bugs buzz around and irritating members. The picky things were the main reason that Nahawi stood where he did, his back leg swollen, infected, and in pain… in a puddle. His blue eyes flickered faintly before he slowly tilted his head, hearing the snort from Peyote. He was not sure what brought the boy to him with such a look on his face, but as the two words left Peyote's lips, Nahawi knew exactly why and his red ears pinned into his mane as he raised his head and gave a snort of his own.

Alarm bells rang in Nahawi’s head, but he did not show them exactly as he scanned the painted stallion before him. “The Forest.” He replied, his voice a bit hard as he glared at the accusatory stallion. “What do you want to know?” He would leave a question in the open, not willing to hide everything from his brothers. With Peyote sniffing around the Forest though, he knew his daughter was in danger. If Peyote was sniffing, he knew far too well that Garmr was at least one step ahead of this brother.

Lowering his snout, Nahawi nudged his last bite of grass away and pulled his head up once more. He did not like leaving clumps of grass around to get mushy and likely kill others. Tainted food would cause colic and you never knew what would be coming through their home in all reality. Blinking his eyes though, the stallion moved from his puddle and slowly stepped closer to Peyote, hiding his limp with his face a hard mask of cold. It was either look like a grump or a stallion in pain and his brothers did not need more fuel.
