Nahawi
stallion | 16.2hhs | red dun | Emperor of the Shore

DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO TRUTH.

Confusion lit in Nahawi’s eyes as he scanned the mare, unsure of what he had done wrong. Was he not supposed to say his name off the bat? Was he supposed to be mysterious and rude? Last Nahawi knew, mares liked gentle but kind? The red duns confusion continued to ride high in his mind when a second stallion came forth and his blue eyes flicked over to scan that of Sihtric.

Not knowing this stallion, Nahawi was even more confused as they seemed to know him. Had he not met everyone that joined right before he left? Nahawi knew of the few that had been there during his few years in the Lagoon, but he had not met the ones that joined after he had decided with Aase to leave. He had been sick for a long time and it had ruined his chances to meet others and he knew he would have to just accept that as it was, but it did not aid him in the moment as the stallion spoke and obviously came to block the meeting.

Holding back a sigh, the red dun let his gaze flick over to the mare before he lowered his head. Frustration and sadness colored his heart, but he hid it the best he could as he slowly took some steps back. Obviously he had started off on the wrong foot and he did not know what to do with that fact. However, he listened for a moment before shaking his head. “If that stallion is speaking of where I think, it is not wise to follow.” Nahawi might not win here and get a mare, but he could guide her away from the Lagoon.

“He comes from the Lagoon.” Was all Nahawi said as he set his gaze upon Sihtric. “Your boss I believe won't be pleased with just a mare.” He rumbled before turning back to the beauty before him. He wasn't sure what to say really now though for he was not a good stallion for wooing pretty ladies and making them think they were the most amazing thing out there. With his heart so already stuck on someone, he was more likely to go find stallions and fill the Shore with masculine stench over feminine perfume. He hated that part of himself, but the red dun was young and learning and it would take time to be what he really could be.

Shaking his head one last time, Nahawi looked off towards the distance, his home the way he looked. He could use Aase in this moment to show him what he was doing wrong. He did not understand for they had not really courted? Was that even the word? Nahawi and her had just… been. They had met the one day in the commons and the rest had been history. Time spent with tears, anger, and a bit of honest disappointment. But the one thing Aase taught him over their secret nights together was the fact a good conversation and little dates running under the stars, through fields, and playdates at the ocean were far better than forcing someone to just be.
