Re(2): ALS Downgrade Follow-Up Posted on April 4, 2024 at 17:06:29 by 35th Street
IDPH doesn't have any say in this as they have delegated all authority to the Region's and the Project Medical Directors since they have the licenses everyone operates under. With all the recent phuck ups by the "exhausted" single role paramedics, leaving people they thought were dead that weren't, suspensions, terminations and on and on...things are going to change. This is a test, and you don't see IDPH or Region 11 coming to the rescue do you? No one died, ALS care isn't being initiated in at least 97% of the time an ALS rig arrives first. Blood Pressures, pulses, blood sugars, oxygen, breathing treatments, advanced airways , CPR , defibrillations can be done by EMT'B's. You get it, the writing on the wall and hope some can still read.
