Larry;

At one time you could tell a coyote from an Eastern Wolf by the size, gait, chest, how it carried its tail, etc. but now the only way to tell them apart because of the hybrid is by DNA. I am almost certain that you will find this animal to come out as a Brush Wolf also called Eastern Coyote if you did a DNA analysis.
