Melanistic Deer Posted on November 19, 2007 at 10:58:41 PM by Norm Murr
On Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007 Ian Cannell and I had a Doe and her yearling fawn along Prospect Road south of Eldon Station Road.
The yearling was a very dark animal that could pass for a melanistic form - Charcoal colored, no white throat and under tail and belly were a dark grey.
The doe was the regular winter coloured animal.
Bob Bowles thought that this might be an interesting sighting for me to post here.
