So with a day off I finally have some time to write a little bit about the past four shows...
The first show was at the Crossing border festival. It was a good show but a standard one. No major surprises. They played for abour one hour. The crowd sucked though! I was probably the only one dancing and singing along to the songs!
Second show in Deventer they played for 1 hour and 45 mins. Good show, good sound. The crowd was more into it but there were some people behind me who got really stoned during the show and got really annoying. Highlights for me were Sunflower Suit, Crutch and Bottom of the Rain.
Third show in Nijmegen was better then the fisrt two shows. It seems that they get better and better with ervery show they play! The crowd was really into it as well. They played for 2 hours with 2 encores. Highlights were The Bus, Frozen Lake, Thrown, Sunday Night. Most special to me was the last song they played...Scottish Windows! Never thought I was going to hear that song live!
Fourth show in Gent was even better then the one in Nijmegen! Even though the sound wasn't as good (coudn't hear the guitar that well) the show really rocked! The crowd sang along to most of the songs (which they didn't at the other shows). Hightlights were the acoustic versions of Butterscotch and Porchlight. At one point the audience could vote between two songs, Tangerine and Good Girl, and since I was the only person in the crowd that voted for Good Girl they offcourse played Tangerine. Enemy was on the setlist but wasn't played.
So four shows down and three more to go. Will post about the rest of the tour after I get back from london. I'm going to get some much needed sleep right now!
And a note for all the dutch people going to the show in Breda...sing along to the songs! We must beat the Belgian people!
