Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

The fox smiled, noticing Taniku's laugh. Likely something from Tumatri's early days that had come to her memory. But the smile was short-lived. It was time to continue to teach, to tell her stories.

Bandido took a deep breath as she gathered her thoughts about the war... About Lestat. "Not too long ago, a power hungry collie had plans to overthrow our great alphess, the one wolf who provides with everything here, from blessings to places to live, and things of that nature." She paused briefly, sighing softly, "Admittedly, I was blind not knowing what he intended. Lestat, the collie, came within my pack requesting to renew an alliance between an old friend. Tazendre of Limited Fate, likely one of the most evil wolves every to cross the mountain among the ranks of the darkest creatures Sievben, Blackwind, and others." Bandido sat, folding her wings a little more snuggly to her back, "Tazendre and I fought side by side once, against those who had wronged us when we were young. It was a gang war, and long before I took my place as the earth pack alpha."

The fox felt it necassary to explain her history with Tazendre, as Taz was the reasoning behind her alliance with Lestat. "After the gang war, many of us parted ways, Tazendre and I associated little, but the few times we did, we respected each other. This told us both, our alliance would not falter." Again she paused, giving a moment for things to sink in before she went on, "In more recent months, Tazendre had been sparce, but rumor came that he, Kirik, and Lestat were plotting. Who they were plotting against and why was unknown to me at the time, so when Lestat requested an alliance on behalf of an old ally, I was honored to oblige. However, that was not the reason Lestat wanted my aid." She sighed softly again, "I feel Lestat wanted my help because he knew he needed power. Being a holder of many blessings, as well has part of a family in which there were dragons who knew how to fight and fight well. I tried to keep my eyes on the vampiric collie, trying to find out what he intended. Turned out, he wished to overthrow WolfySilverSonic, our alphess whom I had never met." Bandido was getting a little fidgety as she continued, but the tale needed to be finished, "Lestat intended to kill her and take over. But he had no such luck. During the fighting, the group set into my charge was to strike down the resistance brewing the the Ice pack. I was glad to accept, for a wolf with whom I have had tension with for much time was leading them. The chance to get rid of her in battle was the perfect opportunity. That battle, however, was cut short with the appearance of Xerxes, a phoenix of the ranked ones." She laughed slightly, but it was not a happy laugh, more of one of realization, "Xerxes had given Lestat the task of killing Tazendre in order to become one of the most powerful dark beast of the mountain. But once again, Tazendre had disappeared as he always had. Then, the firey bird let it slip that Lestat was to kill his on brother, a wanderer called Toric." What appeared to be searing pain appeared across her face. Bandido saw the image of Toric falling after Lestat used the Death blessing on him replay in her mind. It was a painful memory. But that did not tell of Toric's significance to her, "Toric, you see, healed some injuries of mine." Bandido pointed out many of the scars the were at the wrist of her left foreleg, as well as the one that crossed her blinded eye, "Toric allowed me to walk again on all fours, but while he couldn't make me see again, he saved my eye from being utterly destroyed." She began to relax some. It had been awhile since she had told the entire story, but it felt better to be getting it off her chest, "And while Toric is alive again, praise the Gods, it does not change what Lestat has done. Someday, I will get my paws on the brute and give him what he deserves. Until then, my scaled kinfolk search while I maintain my pack." With a final long breath, he was done. That was about as close to the full story she could possibly get. Bandido chose to leave out Tellia Kallisto. The red winged was another story, not one to be told around Tumatri, not yet.

Then came the subject of Taniku's unborn cubs. A renewed smile came to the fox's visage. While she her kits were grown and likely dispersed, she still had her young dragons, plus the thought of young ones made her happier still, even if they were not hers by blood. "They are your cubs, Taniku. Raise them as you see fit. If you prefer to have the cubs outside the packlands, then stay with him, or if you prefer them born within the packlands, invite him to stay among us. Either way, you and your family will always be welcome." Bandido hoped in the back of her mind that Taniku would bear her cubs within the packlands. There was just something about you that always made Bandido happy, and newborns even more so.

The vix had relaxed much more after regarding Taniku's cubs. Now came the matter of blessings again. "Well, you remember me teleporting, yes? Well, the teleport blessing is one I mastered early on, allowing to move places a bit faster, and my wings are a result of the fly blessing. However when you possess said blessing, you may fly with or without wings. That preference is yours." The fox paused a moment, trying to ponder the exact usage of a blessing. "It's like you call upon something within you." She stopped again, looking to Tumatri. This was a perfect idea, so she asked a simple question, "Tumatri, do you know how to breathe Fire?" If the smokey grey didn't, Bandido would use this lesson for them both by using Fire Breath. It was a perfect idea for this situation.
