Hi Nath; Your bird does sound like the House Finch which I would be now expecting in Victoria Road. House Finches like populated areas with bird feeders and since Victoria Road and Kirkfield are a few of the build up locaitons in that area and you have the best feeder in town, I am sure that they will be regular visitors to your feeders in the future. There have been very few reports of Purple Finches this winter since they moved south but will be returning in a few weeks from now. Thanks for all the reports to the Carden Nature Board.
