The Nature Conservancy of Canada is offering a variety of volunteer opportunities to contribute to high priority stewardship work on the Carden Alvar. In partnership with the Toronto Ornithological Club and Ontario Field Ornithologists, 2 Bird Blitzes have been organized for late May - early June. Experienced birders are asked to register through www.conservationvolunteers.ca. This summer, Bob Bowles will be leading a butterfly count and dragonfly count on the Carden Alvar in partnership with NCC.
