Carden Alvar Nature Board by Bob BowlesButterflies & Flowers

A walk at Prairie Smoke Nature Reserve this morning produced the following butterflies: Hoary Elfin (first of the year for me), Spring Azure, & Mourning Cloak. Plants on the alvar in flower included: Fragrant Sumac, Early Buttercup, Early Saxifrage, & Bearberry. Prairie Smoke is in bud.
