The 11th annual Carden Alvar Christmas Bird Count will be held on Saturday, December 27th starting at the Carden Recreation Centre at 9:00 a.m. Team will cover a 24 km circle centered on Cameron Ranch. There will be a potluck dinner after the count at 5:30 p.m. Last year we counted 37 species of birds in the count circle during the day. This year expect Bohemian Waxwings, White-winged Crossbills and perhaps Snowy Owls, Great Gray Owls, and Northern Shrikes. Replies: There have been no replies.
