Carden Alvar Nature Board by Bob BowlesMore arrivals

Snipe were heard in several locations today in Victoria Road and on Wylie Road. A lone male Evening Grosbeak put in an appearance at our Victoria Road feeder. An American Bittern was pumping away in the northeast corner of Sedge Wren Marsh at 6 p.m. A Pied-billed Grebe was "singing" in the marsh at the south end of Shrike Road, and two Wood Ducks were in a patch of open water in the Talbot marsh.
