Swallows and others Posted on May 1, 2009 at 11:32:01 AM by Nath Rockhill
At least 60 swallows were sitting on hydro lines and swooping around the field on Shrike Road at 5 p.m. yesterday, just north of the carwash bridge (south end of the road, just north of Talbot River Rd.) I identified Barn and Tree Swallows, but there may have been others as well.
Also on Shrike Rd., a pair of Blue-Winged Teals are back on the little pond across from the wetland. And the Great Blue Herons can be seen on nests in the distance. Replies: There have been no replies.
