I heard from others that this situation attracted quite a crowd, and both moose were showing signs of stress. The best thing to do is to MOVE AWAY, GIVE THEM LOTS OF ROOM, AND DON'T TOUCH OR TRY TO HERD THE CALF. Left on their own, they will find each other once they have calmed down. Trying to assist, while well-meaning, generally just makes things worse, and can be dangerous for those in the way. If I hear anything more about the moose family, I'll post again.
