The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

His impressive ebony frame trotted quickly through the woods. He had been looking for any of his family, mostly Jewel, Rin or Jena, but any pack member would do for him now. He had left the lands to hunt, but was not successful as he would of liked to of been. Baroq simply put his nose and the ground and picked up their scents, although they soon faded out. It wasn’t a very recent trail really, although there was always the chance they would double back along the same path. He put his nose to the ground and inhaled a familiar scent. He recognized it as the alpha’s nephew or Nephthys adopted son, Zanzibar. It caused Baroq to momentarily forget who he was tracking as he saw a glimpse of the pup running from a surprised racoon. Baroq chuckled, seeing nothing was giving chase, the pup slowed and soon laid down. He was a lot more gangly and lanky than Baroq remembered, growing up into a fine specimen of a wolf. Baroq paced up; unaware he was being very quiet.

Suddenly Baroq didn’t watch his footing and stepped into a loop of supple jack vines. When he stepped forward, it stretched and then pulled back, reaching the peak of its capability for its elastically sprung nature. Baroq stopped and looked around quizzically at this new found puzzle. His brow frowned and his eyes narrowed as his leg hung in midair, with a thickness of supple jack coiled tightly around it. He shook his leg, backed up, and then shook his leg again, jumping and bucking. His large shoulders hit the underbrush and made quite a racket. It didn’t work however and Baroq decided to simply use his weight to snap the trap vine. He hobbled forward again and then jumped, leaning onto the opposite side of his frame, almost through the bushes, he even opened his jaws and tried to clamp them around a branch, but he could reach naught but tiny weak leaves. His jaws came together time and time gain, clipping together with a metallic sound or just shaking the bushes a little.

Stupid little, damn, vine, just come loose you son of a…

Suddenly the vine gave way as Baroq heaved against it in desperation, generally hating the idea of being held captive by a plant. It suddenly gave a loud SNAP and Baroq crashed through the brush to land on his back, the remainder of the vines still coiled tightly around his left ‘ankle’. He sighed and groaned, then opened his eyes to an familiar upside down world. It made him think of all the times the Maroq had gotten one over him and tackled him so that he would end in exactly this position, though usually his brother would be on top, holding him down and giving him a bite or two. Baroq did wonder what his brother was up to these days. His eyes focused as he opened them once more, to the, no doubt, surprised face of Zanzibar. Baroq suddenly felt quite sheepish and even more stupid.

Um…hello.
