The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Mud streaked orbs focused in a dark apparition that appeared from the shadows. It seemed Kenji had had finally decided to show up. It seemed he still had some dignity, somewhere in that dark hide. Plague stopped pacing and faced Kenji, his eyes now calm it almost seemed too casual an encounter for what Kenji deserved. Plague was pretty disgusted with Kenji, but the way Kenji acted; it seemed he wasn’t afraid of Plague. Before Plague could say anything, Kenji started a bloody monologue about why he had changed his mind and it almost made Plague laugh. He didn’t challenge because he didn’t think he was cut out for it, huh? No shit, really? Only figuring that out now huh? Plague kept quiet at his words, just as Kenji asked, it seemed appropriate to give a wolf in his position, their last wish. Plague couldn’t but help but cut Kenji off with laughter as Kenji said he wasn’t fit to be alpha and that he’d rather still follow Eclipse. Plague stopped laughing and let Kenji finish, again talking about Plague killing him. At this point, Plague had already circled Kenji three times, but he almost seemed too wrapped up in his ‘cushy’ little world to notice.
Plague stopped circling and faced him, speaking evenly.

Kenji, if you haven’t already realised, I don’t give a damn what any traitor to my pack thinks. Firstly, you challenge me, and then you try to act like it didn’t happen? What does that say about your worth? You’re a coward who can’t even follow through with a battle and you say I’m not fit to be alpha, but your not even fit to be in this pack. Shit, you’re hardly worth of living. You say Eclipse was a better alpha?

Plague waited until Kenji nodded.

Eclipse abandoned this pack, his mate, his family, what kind of alpha does that? What kind of fucking leader does that? I’ll tell you this, Kenji, I believe you’d rather follow Eclipse, because he’s a traitor to this pack, just like you. Believe me when I say this- I do not tolerate traitors...and yes, I’d much rather kill you.

Plague lunged forward, through dipped to the side and closed in low at the leg, grabbing his right foreleg and charging underneath him, causing Kenji to flip and at the same time breaking his leg. Plague let go the moment he heard the bone snap inside his jaws. He turned and looked at Kenji and growled, speaking up one last time. If Kenji did in fact try to fight back, another pack fae was here to back Plague up, even though Plague wouldn’t need it. It only proved to Kenji just how fit an alpha Plague was. Plague knew it was mostly just sour banter and even if it wasn’t, he honestly didn’t give a fuck. One traitor’s opinion didn’t outweigh the rest of the pack.
In fact, Plague should let the rest of the pack simply tear him to pieces.
Starting with Kimani. But Plague knew he didn’t deserve any more time, though it was such a shame he couldn’t see Kenji buried beneath a bristling mass of wolven bodies. A pack opinion on treachery. Plague spoke up.

…don’t worry Kenji, if your favoured leader ever returns, he’ll learn it too.

Plague again lunged at Kenji, grabbing his jugular and ripping it clear in one final second. Blood spayed and gushered across his chest and forelegs, giving his midnight coat a few subtle scarlet tones. By know, he knew his point had gotten across to Kenji and that Kenji would not betray a single wolf, ever again.

He dropped the dead frame of Kenji and looked at Beautrice. He spoke calmly to her.

Take this waste of space to the borders please.

Plague threw up his head and howled, a bold, shocking howl, blood dripped freshly down his maw and chest, it almost seemed to flow into his howl and he knew that every wolf would soon be able to smell Kenji’s blood across the terra. Especially Kimani, he smiled, knowing she was only being frustrated that she didn’t get a turn at Kenji before he died. Plague’s message was expedientially clear.

Any wolf who decides to betray their alpha will suffer a traitors death.
