Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

the young black fem was exploring yet again. she already knew most of the mountain, but she loves to hike. she was almost into her prime of 2 years, with maybe a week or 2 to go. the half moon in the sky providing more than enough light for her trained eyes. she loked around, from her perch on the mountains side she could seee the forest. it appears to be a sea of whiues and greys. they were already bare, and then given the moonlight it gave the scene and enchanting ghostly quality.

the wind wasnt blowing, but the temperature on the mountain was cold. with her long and thick winter coat already grown out it didnt much bother her. that, and the fact she preferred a colder climate. and it happened to retain heat well. she was darker than jet black, with darker shades of obsidian and onyx bleding in and adding to the pure darkness of her coat. she could stick out as the darkest figure in a sea of shadows of a moonless night. but only if she wasnt trying to hide ehrself, she had become adept at that.

she was both tall and long for a wolfess her size or age, but she wasnt frail and gangly. she was well built and lean, she had grown out of being the usual for slender but she wasnt bulky. she had the perfect build for both an athlete and fighter. with large sure paws she climbed higher and higher up the mountain after marveling the view. with her sapphire eyes that always seemed to burn like that of a blue flame, she looked where she could for others. the climb wasnt too hard for her, her endurance and stamina were far greter than the average wolf, maybe even the same as some of the wolves who actually lived on this mountain. her pointed ears stood erect and slightly tilted forward to catch any sounds.

she continued her trek, even thought she was sure footed and swift she took her time. she wanted to enjoy the beauty of the scene around her. her paws foudn the best path, but she accedentaly brushed against some loose stones with her shoudler. using her agility she leapt some 5 feet away and watched as they fell down the mountain.
