Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Vidar has noticed the pup's reaction to his sniffing. He wasn't entirely sure if it was a good or bad reaction, it seemed maybe he wasn't too pleased with him being that close. Dogs and wolves tend to get close to greet, maybe this 'cub' creature was different.

"Squall, did I make you uncomfortable a moment ago? I am not keen on what cubs like." he said. Vidar wasn't too bright, but he was smart enough to ask questions.

Vidar remained rather still as Squall spoke, amber eyes staring at him intently. The thick male was like a statue at some moments, and the soft snow only seemed to enhance his stillness. His coat was resistant to cold, in fact he preferred the cold weather. Having such a thick, black coat that didn't shed much made it difficult in the summer. He only moved once Squall mentioned his brother saying he would get in the way if he went. Vidar found that peculiar, how was Squall supposed to learn the way of the hunt? How was he supposed to work with the pack if he wasn't allowed to learn? Little did Vidar know that pack hunting was not a feline characteristic.

"In the way? How are you supposed to learn to hunt if you do not go?" he asked, seemingly genuinely curious. Vidar nodded slowly at Squall's last words, he would not be fond of a stranger helping a young pack mate unless it was dire. Vidar got to his feet, shaking off more snow as the bitter wind chilled his nares.

"I see. Then it is not my place to help. If you find yourself too hungry to bear it though, I am willing to provide you a meal. You never know if you brother will come back alive or not." he said slowly, memories of his past experiences flooding his mind. It was the opposite for him though, he came back home with his sister after a hunt to find all his pack mates burned in a forest fire.
