* *Name: Vali
* *Gender: Male
* *Appearance: Golden blond hair, A yellow green eye. One tattoo of a raven flying out of a cage which is positioned over his heart. He has thick scars that encircle each arm, his neck, his waist, and one that goes down the middle of his body and around each leg. He is slightly tanned and...mostly compact. *eyes Luna*
* *Defects (only required if the character has any): Defects are simple, he is missing an eye. He has a psychological disorder that is physically limiting (he will not cross over running water or walk on hallowed ground, anything loose or proven to be unstable even)
* Age: Unknown
* Personality: Primitive, very wild, controversial, head-strong, his speech isn't limited but can come across as such since he has very little to say. Violent. Partly convinced he is still living as he once was before reincarnation.
* History: Vali was (he still believes he is) an exiled God of Chaos and Discord. He was pulled from the throne he kept himself in one day when his followers grew tired of his tyranny over the lands. He was severed into many pieces, each piece wrapped in chains, then anchored down before being tossed overboard into the water. Vali has always possessed a grave fear of touching the ground and so he was cursed to live centuries as close to it as the people could get him - at the bottom of the sea (approved by Gia prior joining)

Sample Post:

Nothing was more thrilling to me than taking a tour through Shaman via the wings of an aqueous eagle going a little under 130 miles an hour. Of course, while it ripped and roared through everything both ugly and beautiful I did nothing but bob and dip and spin and flip in the water the way a dolphin would. Of course, I was far from being a dolphin or any other kind of water dwelling mammal. But, before we get to that, let’s rewind a few steps and explain how I even came to be in this strange place.

Rumor has it that there are a few different ways to get here. You can either die and go to Heaven, your so-called Heaven of course being this strange part of the universe where animals that used to be your best friends are now out to eat you and giant rocks blow up. Not to mention the world as a whole is nothing more (or less) than a giant fishbowl with a bunch of fancy guppies in it, one day some higher power (not me, if you can believe it, not Vali – true God of Chaos) that decides to shake it so hard all the water comes out of place and wrecks havoc everywhere but where it should. Yes, you could call it dying and going to Heaven. I just think you are going from one bad situation to a decidedly worse one. I guess another way is to reincarnate. And the decidedly worse way to do it is to cut a little hole out of time and simply step through it. Of course, there are consequences for taking the easy way out of it (the simple way) causing a rip in time causes the life as you know it to boil over and fizz and steam and explode like a lobster left in the water for too long. Can’t take the heat? Maybe you should just go back home.

Don’t get me wrong, Shaman sounds like a great place to be.

Of course, you aren’t blessed (cursed) with the ability (disability) that I have.

Imagine, every time you sneeze you turn into something like a fork or worse, a piece of garbage. Maybe every first time you hiccup – you’re a toy, twice – you’re a chew toy for your pet Familiar, three times – a razorblade someone who’s jonesing for a release from a life they never wanted but had to take.

I digress and a joining post really isn’t a place to discuss deep feelings. No pun intended with the whole…what? Fifty million foot wave making its way into Shaman while my story begins on Silver Cove which is not far off from ground zero.

So it had been a good three hundred and seventy-five years since I’d been able to pull myself together (no, really, pull it together with all the chains and anchors and the tides carrying bits and pieces of me everywhere) yet I was thankful no shark or other great water-made beast wanted to make a meal out of me while down there. It seemed the unusual energy of the tide pulling out brought the last bits together and, with every ounce of my powers as God and Doppelganger alike, I managed to get myself from A to B to C. C of course was Shaman. Well, more like the beaches on Silver Cove where I landed weak and wet and very, very-very naked face first in the sand. Scars remained where old curses once kept me apart – I had sapped every last bit of my energy to keep myself together long enough to get here. Wherever here was.

Here was frightening and new and I stared wild eyed and stupid like a newborn of the sea, covered in seaweed with a fish caught in my hair as well as barnacle marks where they’d been once before but were no longer present – only I was able to pass through – the rest of this crap on me was stuff from this side of…wherever…

At this point in time Shaman was a term I was not familiar with.

I was, however, familiar with the term Oh bloody Hell when the worst of the worst decided to happen. Of course, disasters always tended to strike when one was without clothes and perfectly new to a primitive world that had no concept of me nor I to it. I can’t tell you how terrified of running water I was but I could show you. Somehow between point A and B then C, I managed to pick up an odd trait of shapeshifting.

Of course, eventually I would learn to hate it, but the small wooden bird toy that I magically turned into within a split second of being hit with rushing water made me love it for the time being. Of course, as a small hard chunk of wood handcarved and hand painted by …well… no one I didn’t have to worry about drowning or getting hurt when I hit rocks and trees and getting dizzy when I was hurled through riptides and violently tight passageways. End over end I travelled with the disaster that suddenly became Shaman, unknowing of where I was going or when it’d stop – all I knew is how I was getting there. I couldn’t even tell you what I was at this point in time other than from a narrative point because the eyes I had were not real. My mind was locked in some small tiny space and the thoughts within it limited. “Get me out of here. Get me out of here. Get me out of here.” Is all I chanted, perfectly safe and sound in the warm little center that was me. A wooden bird. A toy.

Metaphorical?

Maybe.

Does it suck?

Oh yah, real bad.

* Anything else you wish to include: I am turning in the coin that he has earned upon his admittance for a doppelganger skill. This was approved prior to joining that Vali will be enabled to change into small inanimate objects that hold no life force when provoked or without reason. His emotional responses can sometimes (only sometimes) determine what he'll change into but it is often something very random and at whim. If Vali changes without enough energy to change back, he will be forced to remain as that object for several days or until his strength returns.

* *Your player name: Luz

* *How you found out about us: Lunakins

OOC: Also, I want to use this for the third curse challenge. O: Is that okay?
