Tok sat on a set of stone stairs, looking like the hobo that he had become. His hair was rather unkempt and he had grown the crappiest beard you had ever seen on anyone. He was a little thinner than the others that surrounded him, having grown use to the aches of hunger and passing up the little bits of food to others that needed it more than him. His left hand rested gently on Sialuk, who looked more like a drowned rat than an arctic fox thanks to the stupid flood waters. The second curse had broken while he was in flight on the way to the core, causing one of the most physically painful experiences he could remember in a long time as he plummeted to the water's surface to try and find his familiar. Although most were able to venture a mile or more from one another at his level, they had never been able to easily pass more than half a mile before the pain would start to kick in. They could deal with the headaches on hunting trips, but the blinding pain of almost 2 miles separating them had almost been too much.
The two sat quietly, looking blankly over the crowds of people that milled around without much to do. Sure everyone was trying to help, but it was coming down to the point that there wasnt anything left to do. So he sat back out of the way and looked out for anyone who he may know, or anyone who would be willing to speak to him. His thoughts still drifted from time to time to Delilah, his beloved that he had not seen for years. Was she well? Was she safe? What of Skylar? Or the twins he had only seen for a few months before abandoning them all.
Tok leaned his head against a sighed heavily as Sialuk fussed over her coat. Now wasn't the time to think about the past, only how to survive tomorrow
