Appearance: He has the neglected look of one who's learned to thrive on very little: all angles and hollows and thrift. The face is not handsome, though it might have been had he led a different life. While it burns with expression now and then, it seems to know no mild emotion, and most of the time comes across as sullen, wooden and withdrawn.
