China, OIL, rear earth minerals and the Post Standard's publisher, Steven Rogers.

The Post Standard tells me about the tanning tax in a big article and picure and then it tells me gas prices are up and also that "CNY unemployment rate is up" , as if I don't already know this, but the Post didn't bother to tell me this: China National Petroleum and two other China firms are strengthening ties with Venezuela to develope oil fields to power up it's economy. 40 billion worth.

Nigeria, where we get 800.000 barrels a day, has had M.E.N.D. terrorist members attacked oil pipelines that cut oil production by 500.000 barrels.

Also this terrorist group seized oil rig workers working for Afren oil company. The rig workers are from the US, Canada, France and Indonesia.

get this: Nigerian militants plan future attacks on crude oil installations. So we get some of our oil, 500.000 barrels a day from Angola where the Chinese are investing in schools, communications systems, etc. How can Exxon compete with this? I'm not for big oil but we have lost the auto, steel, electronic industry and now perhaps we'll lose the oil industry.

And last, rear earth minerals needed to make toxic magnets for electric motors, electronics,
( tin ) etc., to promote solar panels, hybrid vehicles, wind turbines etc.,

China produces about 97% and the USA close to zero. We where once self reliant, now we import. Rear earth creates pollution when mined. Us liberals don't want to get their hands dirty. Yet China is thinking of cutting rear earth exports.

And Senator Schumer says the "Chinese need us more than we need them?"
And we don't want to increase domestic oil or rear earth operations? More pollution and CO2 will be created with chaos and riots. We liberals are so hypocritically green. Like the lady who came to the town hall wanting to stop fracking here in Spafford while driving a 16 mpg, two ton, cromme covered, V8 Jeep when she doesn't need one. She likes polluting Nigeria and Angola but not her own town. Which will never happen anyways. I could care less for fracking.
I like to read about and study petroleum and gasoline.

Hope the Post Standard improves the content of it's energy articles. And I hope the journalists start to read energy issues so as to allow voters to make more efficient and informed energy decisions.

Thank you for reading this news upgrade.
