Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Aiko blinked, grimacing in pain as the beast grabbed her leg. A s-story? It wanted a story?

"W-well..." her voiced faltered.

"I want to live. Very much I would like to live." Afraid for her life, she spoke the story of her mother's death iin a haunting voice.

"Where I come from, the only pleasure in life was to fight, to fight and kill. Anything other was not permitted, singing, story-telling, running away..."
She swallowed as she continued.
"Puppies were taken away from their mothers at a young age. Most never see their parents again. But my mother... My mother hid me. My mother hid me, she sang to me every night... But she was discovered."
She held back tears as she went to the most emotional part, at least for her.
"My mother was beheaded. Her face was in a snarl, and the blood... There was so much blood. I was young then, only a few months. The stake they had her head displayed on... went through her neck, and up through her skull. How they managed I'm not sure... But they did, and I ran."
She finished with a shudder. She hoped it would save her.
