v.1: THE IMPENDING FRACTURE

In the beginning, they were one.

The voice said, "Let there be light," and they came.

They came rushing over the mountains and the seas, the surf in their manes, the earth flying behind them. Fire sprang forth from the ground and consumed the land. Verdant, beautiful paradises grew in excess. Massive glaciers crumbled forth into a frozen, everlasting wonderland.

And they were content.

The land was perfect in every way, and supported all forms of life. It was named Cambio, Land of the Amulet. Diomedes and The Four inhabited the land, watching it flourish under their reign. They are gods in their own right; caretakers, watch-wardens, and protectors. They grow and twist into something unimaginable, and so does their Eden. Diomedes and The Four are content, satiated. But they can sense it, they can feel it as the earth quivers and shakes beneath their very hooves.

This is the beginning.
