Disorder and dysfunction. Chaos and destruction. The city of New York is in shambles. The supernatural races are brewing, growing in size and strength. Now they possess a strength that exceeds their victims, giving them free reign on their prey. And with their unfathomable capabilities, they are now threatening the human species. They are seemingly untouchable. Unstoppable. Even the majority of businesses now fall under their rule. The legion of blood thirsty assassins are on their way to their biggest achievement, rivaled only but those with the abilities to shift their form.
The people are finally waking up to the devastating truths; connecting the supernatural beings to the ridiculously sloppy and unmerciful murders. The deaths are becoming more frequent as the desire to feed becomes more of an addiction. They cannot be controlled and worse, they are losing control of themselves. The supernatural beings seem to kill for the sick satisfaction, an effort to fill the void of the soulless and the formless. The population of the city is decreasing faster than the majority of the people realize and now there are sightings being reported of large and unusually intelligent animals.
The world is crying out for help. Their cries have not gone unheard for new species has unsurfaced, created specifically for the task at hand. They call themselves the Dark Hunters. They have existed for thousands of years, squashing the uprising of otherworldly beings each time they've surfaced. But the organization of Dark Hunters has diminished in number and the shifters and vampires no longer view them as a threat. They struggle to find others to add to their numbers, hardly getting a chance to train the fledglings before forcing them into the harsh world filled with hunting and death.
This is a world where drugs, sex and rock and roll are the least of the police's worries. They are far too consumed in the extermination of a species that clearly has the upper hand. The violence is rising and the panic is becoming too much to handle. People, vampires and shifters alike are getting away with much more then they had before. The city is in a state of turmoil and everyone seems to be taking advantage of its time of weakness. Do you have what it takes? The heart? The maturity? The skill? This world is not for the light hearted or the thin skinned. One must have a tolerance for the corruption caused by the real world and the wicked deeds of the supernatural.
