Baldy the bare head blue jay
Had a very shiny head
If you should ever see him
You would surely think he's dead

All of the other blue jays
Used to laugh and call him names
They wouldn't let poor Baldy
Play in any blue jay games

For the third summer in a row, I've been startled to see at least one completely bald blue jay. This summer there are at least two though one appears to be getting its feathers back.
