Something wicked this way comes

How many years had passed since the hooved beasts overcame this small arctic isle and made it their home? Like them, their children lived and thrived, loved and lost, brought into this secluded world the unending waves of generations and generations. In its time, Reykjavik had seen the rising and falling of legends, their blood and sweat having molded the landscape with skilled hands as if sculpting clay. And time knew no boundaries, and felt truly perpetual.

But change was coming.

Just beyond the distant horizon lay yet another island, an isle much different than the arctic isle which had felt secure in its solitary world. Tremoira bore the vicious scars of volcanic unrest, and its inhabitants lived a world much detached form the relative peace and natural structure of Reykjavik. Perhaps it is wrong to say so, but their hearts too, seemed different, somehow darker than the norm. A deceitful, sinister air danced like flames in their eyes. And a general state of unrest clung to them like a sickness.

It was destined to be so, and as if it had been written in some ancient scroll, the island of Tremoira fell back into the sea with each volcanic eruption and quake. And with haste the equine fled from their shores, eventually making their way across the ice bridges to the unsuspecting Reykjavik in droves. Generations passed, and slowly things changed.

Those who knew what Reykjavik once was, could remember the comfortable air to the rugged isle, would be astonished.
The size and structure of once small and vagabond like herds, often fickle and sparse, have turned to vast strongholds of horses. There was a need for safety in numbers, and strength of loyalty to keep what they stood for paramount. Rivalries bring war, allegiances bring growth, love and life teeters on a changed environment. Nothing is simple anymore; nothing is how it used to be.

Reykjavik is a play by post semi-realistic equine rpg for all levels of writing skill. There is no magic here, no mystifying powers. There is only the beauty of nature and the awesome creatures who were born to run headlong into the wind as if to defy gravity. Reykjavik has seen the ups and the downs of the roleplay community over its almost nine year life, and by now it surely knows how to weather the times. Big changes have come with this newest version of Rey. Number fifteen promises an abundance of new excitement with the possibility of endless in character drama and out of character fun! XV brings to you a slightly darker feel, for something ominous looms on the horizon for our island world. A more kingdom like setup for herds allows for more storylines and greater character interaction. We are also introducing a point system! What better way to flaunt your character’s greatness and prestige then to show off a well-earned point count above the rest? We also offer an in game PM system for our players. Registering takes only seconds and instantly you will be able to send notes to your friends that you might not want posted on the open boards! You don’t have to sign up, but why not? It’s quick, easy, and fun!
