Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

I watch all the emotions travel across the young female's face as she scrutinizes my approach. Her first instinct is to back away as I should have known it would be and my eyes only soften more, hoping she wouldn't just turn around and run, or at least whatever kind of run she could get out of three banged up legs and a broken one.

My tail falls limply behind me but I feel a soft smile tug at my lips when she hesitantly gives her name. I nod in understanding. Journey...that's a beautiful name. Your mother must have loved you very much. The words come to me out of instinct, though I have no idea where they're coming from. I've never been a mother and so I have no idea what to say as a mother to this scared and hurt cub. The only thing I can understand is the helplessness in her gaze because it very much reflects my own gaze right now.

Like me, she feels lost and alone, unsure whether to keep going forward or just find a quiet corner to hide in. She finally stops backing away and as her eyes travel to her own injured leg, I fel my panic rising, as if wanting to hide the leg from her so she doesn't know the extent of the damage. Who knows what she might be thinking about that leg right now. Who knows how confused she might be, having never received a broken bone before this. It about breaks my heart to think of it.

Her eyes seem only to register shock if anything and I wonder if its the first time she's really noticed her leg. The thought only makes my chest ache more. Oh, she must be so scared!

Her gaze finally pulls away from her leg to look over somewhere into the distance and I wonder if that makes it better for her, not looking at the source of the pain. Her words come out in a question and I shake my head slowly. No, sorry, I don't have a rank. I'm actually quite new to Bright Moon, barely accepted myself. I glance around momentarily, ears flickering before I look back at her, offering a weak smile. I'm sure someone will be here soon to accept you though. Hopefully they can help her as well.
