The Carden Alvar Christmas Bird Count will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012. We will count all bird oberved that day. See post below on the rules and times.
The count week starts tomorrow, December 30th and runs to Thursday, January 5th. We have received reports this winter of several Snowy Owls in the south and I have observed these on other Christmas Counts. We you observe a hawk or an owl in the Lake Dalrymple area from Sebright to Uphill south to Corsons, Kirkfield and Bolsover in the next week, please let me know.
