Hello fellow Shamanites!
If you have not heard, my name is Epos, I am the Princeps of the core. With the help of our king Arthur, I hope to rebuild and maintain a bright future for us all. But to do this change is a must. With change comes the possible rise for new and highly improved positions among the senate. As done so many years before me, we will hold an election so the people of Shaman may have a say in which their leaders will be. So in a way, this has not changed. But what has changed is the way this will be done.
As always we will elect five members into our senate. This election will last one real week. Starting today (January 6th, 2012) and ending next Friday (January 13th, 2012 at midnight GMT). Each individual will be able to cast two votes apiece (so each character, if you have 5 characters, each one gets two votes). You can never the same person twice in one vote, although you may be admitted to vote for yourself (for example: “Epos, Arthur” but not “Epos, Epos”).Votes may never be changed once casted, so think carefully on who you may be voting for.

At the end of the deadline the top 5 voted characters will become part of the senate. Once this happens I will have a sign up for each position in the senate that will last three real days. (dates unknown as of currently, once results are posted i’ll post this so it should start on Jan 14th end probably Jan 17th, give or take a day) Each member is to post what position they would like and a brief explanation as to why they think they are fit for it. (does not have to be in depth, brief and short as you like or perhaps no message at all) Do not be intimidated if others sign up for the position you want, not only I but Arthur will be examining each individual. If you would like to put a secondary position you may. If you do not do this you will just be assigned a position in the senate.

The Consul is the head of the Senate and has the most political power. He can make proposals to the government.
The Praetor is the head of the judiciary and law courts. If someone has been caught breaking the law, it is the Praetor's task to organize a court of law. (In charge of the courtrooms)
The Aedile is the head priest: s/he has the power to marry two people together. This is a power shared by the King, the God and the Princeps.
The Tribune is the ambassador of the people. It is his job to ensure that the government is taking care of the people's best interests, by holding meetings with territory leaders and speaking to the people.
The Quaestor the head of law enforcement: s/he is in charge of catching law-breakers and bringing them to the Praetor. (in charge of the dungeons)
