Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Texas watched as the Collie hid his laughter. He caught it in his eyes. They were humorous, as if he had just heard a funny joke. But Tex wasn't making jokes. He had never seen anything like it before! Those were WINGS! His head swam when Toric confirmed that they were, indeed real, and he felt ridiculous. Of course they were. He had sensed something strange about this land, but this was a shock.

"I'm sorry, I probably sound ridiculous," he shook his head, lifting his paw to rub his eyes. "I came from a pack of wolves, and when I wondered too far out of my pack lands, someone would always chase me off their lands... Suppose I should've realized this wasn't like any other day, huh?" He shrugged, taking in a deep breath, then perked his head up, bowing his head. "Pardon me, I have forgotten to introduce myself! My name is Texas." He smiled. "Might I ask who you are?" The back of his mind was itching to ask the collie more about the wings, how he had obtained such a magnificent gift, and if anyone else had them, which lead to the question of other gifts out here, and if there were more, how people got them. Which would eventually lead to him asking more questions of the lands, but now, he would have to suffice for asking the dog's name.
