Alika had finally decided to move on. The Falls had only present so much fun before she needed to move once again. The filly was so stir crazy and full of vigor that she could never stay still for more than a half a minute. Playing and exploring and constantly moving it seemed the flaxen filly had endless amounts of energy. Even now as she trudged through the bitterly cold salt waters to new lands she had yet to tire. The muscles that worked to propel her forwards burned but still her long legs continued to churn and keep her head above water. Ears back she snorted out water that threatened to go down her nose in which she had experienced before. The burning was not something she felt like experiencing again but either way it wouldn’t stop her from swimming again.

As land came into view, the flaxen liver chestnut filly felt a wash of relief flood her. Alika knew she needed to feel the solid land below her hooves soon because even though she had an abundant amount of energy that didn’t mean her body could handle it. Even if it could the cold of the water that soaked through her winter hide was enough to send her back out of the waters.

Hooves brushed sand and stone and soon Alika found that she could stand. The weight of her body felt heavier than ever before after such a swim but it didn’t hinder the filly of her progress away from the push and pull of the claiming waters. She had been it so long now that it seemed strange without the tugging flow of it around her. Coming to a stand just out of reach of the water, the filly cast her gaze around at the new terrain that she had let the waters take her too.

It was tropical place, one that was plenty warmer than where she had just come from. It also felt welcoming whether the residence here was or not. Shaking her head and letting the water fly free of her wild mane, Alika then started to walk away from the water’s edge. The water that streamed away from her body was like ice though soon enough she would dry and find herself rather warm here compared to the Frozen Falls. Suddenly remembered that she had forgotten her manners, the filly again came to a stop. She had not moved far from the shore but her eyes still looked for a charging horse to reprimand her for entering with invitation. Taking in a deep breath Alika let it back out in a loud ringing call that would easily cover the lands and hopefully to the residence here. Meeting new faces was something the filly always looked forwards too and she could only hope these would be friendly.
