aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

The caretaking wolf stands over the other one, ears flickering as if unsure how to answer me. I look back at the injured wolf as the other one talks to her, telling her that he's not going to hurt her. I tilt my head, unsure still what to make of this scene. What's even more spectacular is that I don't even know where I am! That's right, I've done gone and got myself lost wandering away from my home in Bright Moon and this place doesn't smell like Bright Moon but it has to be close, right?

The injured female doesn't seem to want the male to leave her which is off to me since she was just screaming in pain with him near. He says Deatheater first, which confuses me. So is his name Deatheater or does he think MY name is Deatheater? Cause then he says his name is Haruka. Two different names? But then I can call him Haru so which is it? Then he asks for my name. I laugh lightly and shake my head. Well it certainly isn't Deatheater. Who would want to eat something so tragic? That would hurt Twist's tummy, it would. His name is Oreo Twist but most just call him Twist. I then smile so brightly, you'd think the sun shined through my teeth.

For a while the male grows thoughtful but I let him alone. After all, I know all about thoughts. I have bunches of them, after all! Suddenly the male asks me a question, asking where my monarch is. I tily my head, watching him in puzzlement. You mean like the butterfly? He reckons they're at their homes, where ever that is. I look around thoughtfully before gasping at his next comment. You're an outsider too? Twist thought he was the only one! He's from a pack called Bright Moon but he doesn't know which one this one is. It doesn't smell like Bright Moon though.

I wrinkle my nose up as if to explain that I don't recognize the scent. Suddenly the male asks me of all wolves where he can take someone called Deatheater. Say, isn't that what he called me a bit ago? My ears flicker. Um...how about that tree over there? Is that far enough out of the terrible way? I then turn to look at the injured wolf, eyes all wide and curious. So do you really eat death? Is that what hurt you?

My ears flick back as soon as I catch a whiff of a stranger though. Turning my head, bright green eyes take in the lovely colored female. Tilting my head, I wag my tail to show I'm friendly as she starts speaking. We're intruding? Intruding where though? Savior? Where? I want to play too! So many words that I don't understand. I look around, ears flickering.

Suddenly the female looks down at me and I can't help but cower a little, ears folding back as my tail tucks neatly between my legs. She reaches down to nose me and I giggle helplessly, squirming as she pulls back. Tickles Twist, it does! I listen as she speaks, telling me I'm out of place. I start wagging my tail, convinced that she's not going to hurt me, at least for now. Well ya see...Twist went exploring and took a wrong turn...or was it right? And then he smelled wolves and heard voices and came toward the screams to see a death eater and a Haru standing by. Who are you?
